The show’s first season begins in a very beautiful way. Two friends who have known each other since they were in kindergarten are now studying in a high school in Australia. But when they go to a music festival, they go through a tragedy, and that becomes a turning point in Amerie and Harper’s lives. After the music festival, Harper does not come to school for a week, and after she comes, she avoids Amerie. The principal gets to know about the Inscent Wall, which has all the names of sexual escapades. When the principal gets to know that, he then arranges a sexual workshop for the students. But that becomes familiar on the local news channel. The principal accuses Amerie, but Amerie does not take the name of Harper and; instead, she thinks of talking to her. But Harper attacks her physically, and that leads to letting the whole school know that Amerie is the culprit. At the end of the first season, we get to see that when Harper returns to her home, she sees her father in a very bad condition. And Amerie, when she visits her, sees an ambulance outside Harper’s house and Harper wholly covered with blood.

I believe the producers of Heartbreak High were aware of this, which is why they included this entire extra plotline about what happened to Spencer, but I don’t believe anyone cared. In several negative aspects, I believe Sex Education inspired this show. Spencer and Dusty were comparable to Maeve and Jackson, while Darren and Cash were comparable to Eric and Adam. I was reminded of Lily and Ola when I saw Quinni and Sasha, and they inspired many of the characters.
